Behind the lens

Sunlit Stories & honest observation

A decade spent documenting unscripted human connection across open fields, quiet coastal towns, and warm home spaces using natural late-afternoon light.

Golden hour roots

Chasing natural afternoon light

My work began with a single 35mm camera and a deep fascination with how late afternoon sunlight transforms ordinary moments. Over ten years, that curiosity grew into a full documentary practice centered on authentic family connection.

Rather than directing stiff lineups or micro-managing poses, I create quiet space for genuine laughter and quiet affection. The results are timeless visual stories that feel completely effortless.

Artistic philosophy

Observation over artificial direction

Staged portraits often capture how a family dressed on a single afternoon, but candid imagery preserves how those relationships actually felt. By focusing on unscripted interaction, we document real warmth that endures through every life season.

Film grain, natural backlight, and loose framing allow each gallery to breathe. Every session is guided by low-pressure observation so parents and children feel comfortable staying entirely themselves.
